Summary

The Sr. Specialist of Business Process is responsible for collaboratively planning and implementing the company’s process development and improvement initiatives through process development, training, prioritization, etc. This role also actively works with all levels and business lines within the company to implement projects. Windstream’s process improvement approach utilizes Lean Six Sigma methodology.

This specific position will be on the Marketing and Sales Processes team in the Business Process organization where the groups focus is Product Development, Product Marketing, Marketing, and Sales Support inside of Process Development.

Sr. Specialist of Business Process is a vital member of the product marketing and sales process team and is responsible for driving leads and potential customers in order to ensure a successful sales process. The Sr. Specialist will build and manage relationships with potential customers and clients, work strategically with the sales, and partner with other process teams to better streamline processes.

Responsibilities

Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma). Diagrams and evaluates existing processes. Organizes leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams. Drive project successfully through the governance process relative to scope, budget and timeline. Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Collects data to identify root cause of problems. Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls. Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality. May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control. Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes. Communicates team progress. Performs cost and benefit analyses. Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May supervise the activities of others.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum Requirements: College degree in a Technical or related field and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7+ years professional level related Technical experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
