**We are recruiting for a Director, Operational Initiatives to join our Kindred At Home Division in Louisville, KY.** Under the supervision of the Vice President of Operational Initiatives, this position will oversee and help implement programs and projects that support Gentiva/Kindred’s vision and short and long term plans that are deemed critical to the business success. This position will further Operations mission by participating in strategy and direction setting, identifying and prioritizing areas for improvement, assisting project teams with scope definition, and encouraging good change management process.

**Essential Functions:** * Responsible for driving complex project based initiatives for the Operations organization that pursue growth opportunities or cost savings opportunities * Acts as liaison and point of contact between share services/corp and operations. Works with cross-functional teams to analyze and drive key operations initiatives * Builds strategies, facilitate planning sessions and drive change activities required to maintain company operations and competitiveness and meet the needs of stakeholders. * This position may act as project leader for one or more critical initiatives, guiding the project team, driving analysis, meeting project goals, maintaining timelines and working with the business owner to successfully implement new processes, technology or strategy. * Shapes and influences Gentiva/Kindred's vision and strategy, including capturing emergent opportunities that were not originally identified. * Identify and manage interfaces with other strategic initiatives and with ongoing operations. * Attracts and negotiates for other resources including information, people, capital and facilities. * Builds and leads a team that would include a Director of Strategic Operations Initiatives and administrative positions * Establishes metrics and reinforces a culture of accountability. * Keeps business leaders up to date on initiatives, develops and updates communication documents, metrics, etc.

* 7+ years of experience in the leadership role in finance, operations, business development, and/or project/program management role. * Strong education credentials, including an undergraduate degree in business, finance or related field. * Project Management certification is desirable * Has a thorough understanding of Kindred/Gentiva’s functions groups and how they work. Is able to establish navigate issues involving operations, finance, contracts, HR, sales, accounting, etc… * Proven ability to work with cross functional teams to identify and successfully solve critical, large scale business related issues. * Have a long-term and big picture perspective of the business. * Is a systematic and innovative thinker. Can tolerate ambiguity in the problem discovery and concept development phases. * Have proven experience and are strongly committed to the mission and delivering results. They develop robust strategies and alternative solutions. * Proven ability to exercise judgment to recognize profound problems verses the mundane. * Proactively gather information and insist on results. They ask many questions and listen well. * Natural leader with excellent verbal/communication skills * Has a thoughtful, persuasive personal style * Self-starter that is comfortable in a project orientated environment * Ability to influence key stakeholders and operational owners through well articulated strategies. * Proven ability to use analytical skills and judgment to solve problems with limited information at hand * Communicate complicated matters in a simple, structured way to senior management * Proven ability to get the work done through cooperation with other groups with no direct reporting relationship to position.
