Summary
The Manager of Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma will be required to build, expand and support a continuous improvement framework through Lean Six Sigma methodologies in order to increase Operational efficiencies in Production.
Responsibilities
* Develops, prioritizes, and integrates Engineering strategies and support into the manufacturing organization * Provides mentoring, guidance and support to Assembly manufacturing management * Champion Lean Culture Change * Advocate and influence change, passionately driving process excellence and continually striving for ‘Breakthrough Improvement’ in all projects. * Provide coaching and leadership in the deployment of Lean Principles, Systems, and Tools * Mentor and advise on key deliverables for each Phase of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology for both Lean and Six Sigma projects. * Determine correct strategy for Lean and Six Sigma projects, taking problem statement and defining appropriate metrics to enable successful execution. * Complete and mentor comprehensive Lean and Six Sigma data analysis, leveraging experience in selecting appropriate tools to be used for drawing key conclusions. * Provide expert Lean and Six Sigma advice and technical support to process improvement teams. * Lead Lean and Six Sigma projects as required * Continually learn by research and doing, combining best practice with custom site needs. * Develop and share new methods and techniques to further the advancement of Lean and Six Sigma throughout the organization. * Function as a key contributor to the continuous improvement of both internal to GIS and business processes. * Work closely with the business to identify training goals and improvement opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
* Degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering or related field required. * MBA Preferred – or working knowledge of business financials and manufacturing product / process costs * At least 7 years’ experience practicing Lean and Six Sigma across multiple business processes required * Six Sigma Training required, Black Belt preferred * Lean and 5S Training required * Passion for learning and Process Focused * Value Stream Mapping Knowledge * Continual improvement process through Kaizen Methodology * Comfortable at implementing significant change through formal OCM methodologies * Ability to execute without direct authority * Innovative by nature with proven track record * Proven track record in people and project management. * Ability to interact with multiple layers and diverse responsibility groups within IT, Business and IT Compliance department.
