Summary
The Project Manager-Facilitator coordinates with technology and business resources to lead projects, innovation, and process improvement initiatives, dealing with complex, cross-functional activity, to help achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. Manages risk by using established project management techniques to address execution challenges associated with quality, schedule and cost. Drives creative alternatives to project issues, challenges legacy standards when appropriate, coordinates with internal and external resources, partners with business users to drive adoption / change, and develops and / or coordinates training.
Responsibilities
* Facilitates development of technology and business project plans related to schedule, budget, scope and resources. Monitors project execution to deliver incremental business value. * Leads and motivates cross-functional team members in the development and delivery of change management solutions. * Understands each project's critical path activities and proactively manages those to project's benefit. * Coordinates with internal and external resources to update project plans and budgets. Captures project notes and action items from project meetings as needed. * Directs analysis, root cause identification, and development and recommendation of key work products. Advises senior management on issues. * Researches and recommends improvements to advance project management methods and practices. * Leads and facilitates subject matter experts to resolve project challenges. Actively manages ambiguity and consistently seeks to drive clarity among project stakeholders. * Engages with the USAA enterprise to represent RealCo as process excellence (PX) champion. Work with the PX team to ensure goals and objectives for key processes are aligned to support the enterprise program. Ensures the adoption of relevant PX standards and best practices as appropriate. * Serves as mentor, trainer, coach, and technical leader in support of PX using process improvement tools and methodologies. * Able to understand and articulate strategic and operation plans and the impact on the business. Assists with the identification and prioritization of projects and process improvements. * Presents project plans and results to senior management as appropriate.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree required. * 5+ years experience practicing and/or leading resources to enhance business performance or technology projects by designing and implementing business solutions. * Experience in a leadership role demonstrating strong development skills/responsibilities, ability to influence, analysis, and critical thinking skills. * Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and/or expert knowledge of multiple technical software delivery life cycles. * Consulting and/or advisor experience at a senior executive level to effect business change. * Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience running projects or work streams. * Experience with real estate investment industry. * Certifications or relevant training in any of the following areas: Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Management, Quality Management or Engineering, * Experience with Scaled Agile Execution (SCRUM/KANBAN concepts). **Physical Requirements:** * Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; frequently required to stand, walk, and use business equipment daily such as computer, copier, fax, telephone, etc.; frequently required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 25 lbs. * Ability to handle stress caused by multiple priorities, and other unforeseen situations associated with the organization. * Eyesight and hearing must be correctable to standard level.
