Summary
The Human Resource Business Partner will be a strategic partner to the leaders for their designated business function(s) within Commercial Sales, Marketing and Lawn and Garden and will partner with employee groups to add HR expertise and insights to complement the business objectives. While partnering, the incumbent will provide solid HR expertise and influence, challenge the status quo, lead change initiatives and implement ways of working that embody Syngenta as an “employer of choice”.
Responsibilities
* Partner with regional leadership of smaller functions to design and deliver people strategies, processes and products for a small region which ensure that the organizational capability, processes, systems, structure and culture are in place to drive the achievement of business goals * Ensure that the implications of the global and regional people strategy are well understood and aligned and that the HR capability and culture is in place to enable delivery * Provide, and develop in others, change management capability to enable leadership team development, business transformation and the ongoing development of Syngenta's unique culture * Take responsibility for the embedding of robust people management disciplines in the region including talent management, people development, performance management, and facilitate cross functional/business forums to enable effective people management and development * Build effective employee partnerships and consultation processes with representative bodies and unions, and contribute to regional consultation processes as required * Partner with regional COEs and HR services to ensure development and delivery of effective HR processes
Ideal Candidate
**Critical knowledge:** * Incumbent must have a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field. A Master’s degree and SPHR preferred. * Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge/understanding of State and Federal HR Law and strategies. **Critical experience:** * 4-6 years of prior progressive Human Resource experience. * Demonstrated experience and involvement in strategic planning. * Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects. * Candidate must have facilitated to resolve employee issues and conflict resolution. Candidate must have frequent experience in coach leaders at all levels, including senior leaders * Candidate must have some experience in influencing or managing team dynamics * Candidate should have experience making effective presentations to both large and small groups **Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:** * Proven ability to work with a variety of people and develop strong working relationships. * Ability to relate to people in all levels of the organization (Interpersonal savvy) * Communicative – very strong communication skills at both the group and individual levels * Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. * Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. * Interaction and networking with internal and external contacts and maintains current industry understanding and trends.
