Summary
Plan, develop, and direct the various human resources and employee relations programs and initiatives within the Rice Lake (RL), WI manufacturing organization to insure corporate, regional, and local human resources strategies and priorities are met. As a strategic business partner to the RL manufacturing leadership team, HR Business Partner will provide consultation and human resources expertise on matters relating to: Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Leadership, Human Capital, Rewards and Recognition, Community Relations, Safety, Health & Wellness, Continuous Improvement. We are seeking a full-time professional, authentic, committed, trusted and passionate Plant Human Resources Business Partner for our Rice Lake, WI, appetizer processing plant, reporting directly to the RL Plant Manager. You will become a trusted advisor and business partner with the plant management team, as well as the Americas HR team, by providing hands-on leadership, assistance, guidance and interpretation of HR policies, programs and new initiative implementation. Standing in the possibility of The New McCain, you will develop and own the Engagement, Talent Management and People Strategies at this location, lead the execution and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities** * Developing and strengthening an authentic business partnership with client groups * Demonstrating an expert, proactive and positive leadership role in direct, open and honest employee and labor relations in support of plant business strategy and key performance indicators * Sharing learnings from processes with corporate HRBPs, Talent Management and Total Rewards. Partner as needed for solutions based on business needs. * Ensure consistent, timely and accurate application and compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. * Administration, adherence and interpretation of HR policies, procedures, programs as well. * Advise and counsel leadership teams to recommend, develop and implement effective policies and procedures, which support achievement of company goals in a manner consistent with McCain’s values and good human resources principles. * Demonstrating leadership and a collaborative labor relations approach maintaining non-union status. * Development and coordination of employee communication and engagement action plans. * Ensure adherence to organizational hourly and salary administration program, and provide support in the administration of company benefits and other compliance and legislative requirements. * Effective attendance and disability claims management. Commitment to health, safety and related initiatives * Recruitment and on-boarding initiatives focusing on optimizing plant staffing initiatives, improving processes and leading the implementation of McCain Leadership – Core Competencies * Driving Talent, Succession and Performance management, including the implementation of Global and North America HR initiatives, as well as training and support to management in dealing with performance management, labour relations, learning and development. * Assisting in the development of our people through classroom training delivery and e-learning initiatives * Be a mentor and coach to local HR team members to ensure their growth and development, achievement of departmental and business objectives. * Ensure client group diversity programs including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance and Affirmative Action Plan development (AAP). Review and represent the company at EEO audit and WI ERD complaint investigations and hearings. * Participate in NA Human Resources projects and initiatives including policy development and process improvement * Moderate travel as required * Other projects/duties as assigned or needed. **Supervisory Responsibilities** Directly supervise RL HR team (HR Specialist, Administrative Assistant, and Training Coordinator).

Master’s degree or HR Certification a plus. * Ability to identify and analyze organizational needs * Excellent problem solving and coaching abilities * Presentation and facilitation skills * Knowledge of employment and labor laws * Knowledge of hourly and salaried pay practices, handbooks, and personnel practices. * Strategic thinking and thought leadership * Good business acumen * Facilitator and leader for change management * Lean Manufacturing Experience, Six Sigma training a plus * Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish). Fluency in English and Spanish a plus. **Required Length & Type of Experience:** Minimum 5 years managerial-level experience in Human Resources including employee relations, labor relations, training, organizational development, talent acquisition, safety and compensation/benefits. Plant level human resources experience required.
