Summary
The Sr. HR Business Partner offers thought leadership for people-related activities and execution within the assigned business area. Provide expertise, insight, and data to guide proactive solutions by consulting with business leaders on talent, leadership, business strategy, organization development, rewards and culture. Partner with global HR functional groups to develop, implement, manage, and administer programs that support the business area’s strategic and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and deliver innovative solutions. - Proactively consult and partner with business leaders in achieving company objectives by effectively diagnosing and solving organizational challenges. - Partner with business leaders to identify HR implications (organizational design, colleague selection and development, colleague relations, compensation, talent management, performance management, diversity initiatives, etc.) relative to business strategies. - Work systematically to diagnose problems, analyze data, identify root cause and recommend solutions for HR-related business issues. - Assess and understand colleague engagement survey results. Champion new initiatives in the areas of colleague engagement and culture. Assist in developing and implementing action plans for improving engagement and cultural alignment. - Assist in developing, implementing and administering company HR programs that meet current needs while also anticipating future business and talent trends. - Provide project management where required and deliver end-to-end solutions. - Advise managers on people-related matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions as consistent with strategic direction. - Analyze business challenges, current HR programs and external market best practices/trends to identify improvement opportunities. - Facilitate organization and leadership development efforts, drive talent review, consult with and train management and colleagues on creating development plans. - Work with managers and colleagues in identifying and addressing performance related issues. Provide coaching and support of managers on corrective action items including performance improvement plans and discipline. - Remain current with industry best practices to identify opportunities for improving HR's support of business operations. - Ensure effective communication and deployment of HR programs to result in greater acceptance of programs by the organization. - Understand all applicable governmental regulations and advocate compliance requirements. - Act as key participant in company-wide HR programs and initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor degree with major concentration in HR or business-related field. - 8-10 years of progressive business partner experience. - Demonstrated ability to influence, build strong relationships at all levels, and serve as a trusted advisor. - Ability to navigate effectively with a complex set of stakeholders, thriving under multiple conflicting deadlines. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills: ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations, make decisions, and drive execution. - Broad HR background, with expertise in the following areas: career planning, succession management, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning and development, rewards and recognition, change management, and employment law. - Project management skills - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. - Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Experience using SuccessFactors or similar tools a plus.
