Summary
The HR Manager supports business goals and strategies of Hain Celestial by managing the Human Resource and Training and Development function through creating, implementing, and administering a variety of programs to assure a stable, qualified, motivated and productive work force. The incumbent utilizes an understanding of business strategy, employment laws, and be responsible for monitoring compliance of policy and procedures and coordinates recruitment and selection for assigned roles. This position assures policies are administered in a non-discriminatory, consistent manner to preserve the plants non-union environment. Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
**Staffing:** * Provides adequate staffing to the factory by assessing and analyzing the staffing needs. * Implements changes and developing action plans within legal guidelines * Directs recruiting and placement activities to attract, motivate and retain employees while ensuring EEO and AAP goals are met. * Maintain a job bid and transfer program to advance and cross-train employees. **EEO and AAP:** * Ensures compliance with EEO and AA regulations and policies and oversees plan development and implementation * Responds to external documentation requests or investigation charges. **Compensation:** * Recommends, implements and monitors various compensation plans. * Manage an internal Job Evaluation System for hourly employees to ensure internal equity. **Benefits:** * Maintains competitive benefits plan by providing input in the design, development, implementation and monitoring of the benefits * Oversees benefits administration and monthly reconciliation reporting. **Training & Development:** * Educate employees through the development of a long-range strategic plan to meet the established goals and objectives. * Administer Tuition Aid program. * Direct, evaluate, and develop the HR staff to optimize both organizational and individual performance. **Employee Relations:** * Direct counseling and /or counsel employees and supervisors regarding various work related or non-work related problems. * Provide consultation to management on human resource policies. * Oversee the Employee Review Team, Job Evaluation Committee, Activities Committee, Recognition Committee, and Community Involvement Committee to meet the needs of the employees, company and community. **General Administration:** * Ensure accuracy of HR record data and all information related to overhead budget to provide recommendations where needed. * Maintain consistent policy and procedure implementation and application * Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary. **Follow all Food Safety guidelines set forth by, but not limited to:** * GMP’s * Allergen Program * Quality * HACCP * Sanitation * Safety
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Requirements** Minimum five years’ experience in an HR Manager/Generalist capacity or related role **Skills/Knowledge/Abilities** * Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. * Ability to train and develop people to reach their maximum potential. * Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy, persuasiveness, and negotiation to foster a climate of cooperation and trust and to effectively manage conflict and influence others. * Solid administrative and managerial capabilities. * Strong problem solving and analytical skills along with the ability to objectively evaluate all people. * Knowledge of statistical and quantitative methods, human resource systems requirements, and job evaluation systems. * Proactive approach to gaining respect and credibility with all employees. * Working knowledge of all related laws and regulations.
