Summary
Assist in the coordination and implementation of Human Resource activities, such as payroll, employment, compensation, benefits, labor relations, training, compliance and other employee services. Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the coordination with Corporate payroll for the biweekly payroll, including eTime coordination, scanning paperwork to Corporate, and review of final payroll transmissions. Respond to and resolve biweekly payroll issues. Maintain system integrity in payroll and eTime for departments, supervisors, calculations, etc. * Administer employee benefit plans as directed by corporate office, including enrollment, changes and assisting employees with benefit questions and claims issues. Ensure proper electronic enrollment, termination and changes for each benefit provider. * Oversee Recruitment efforts, including working with supervisors to update Job Descriptions, posting and advertising open positions, completing new hire paperwork/onboarding, and coordinating with payroll. Prepare and process paperwork for Promotions and Terminations. * Tracking and reporting on employee data, including Celestial monthly and management reports. Prepare reporting for Affirmative Action Plan, including EEO-1, Vets, and Applicant Flow. * Assist with Company events, i.e., Health Fair, Flu Shots, Holiday Parties, Company meetings. * Administer leave of absence programs ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies. These programs include FMLA, STD, JALO. * Arrange and conduct monthly new hire orientation program. * Assists with employee training, relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviews. * Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary. * Follow all Food Safety guidelines, but not limited to: * GMP’s * Allergen Program * Quality * Sanitation * Safety
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field preferred. * Five years of Human Resource experience required. * Previous experience in administering benefit programs preferred. * Three years database management skills plus ability to run reports with report writer program required. * Two years previous payroll experience required, preferably with ADP. * Proficient computer skills, ability to run MS Office programs (Word, Excel). * Knowledge of Employment Law, government, & Workman’s Compensation regulations. * Exercise safety precautions & conform to safety rules & procedures to determine compliance with standards. * Exceptional oral and written communication skills. * Ability to work under pressure, react appropriately under constantly changing priorities with numerous interruptions. * Ability to meet attendance guidelines. * Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company.
