Summary
AdvanSix is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join this to be publicly traded, stand-alone company. AdvanSix is being formed as a result of Honeywell’s recent announcement to spin-off the Resins and Chemicals business.
Responsibilities
* Accountable for providing human resources generalist support for assigned client group(s) * Partner with site leadership to support business objectives * Execute AdvanSix Human Resources programs including performance development, compensation planning, training, staffing, organizational development, employee satisfaction, and reward and recognition * Ensure positive employee relations through strong relationships at all levels of the organization * Counsels and coaches employees, supervisors, and the site leadership team in addressing interpersonal and performance issues * Provide mentoring and effective communication (coaching, giving feedback, etc.) * Work with management to assess and develop site talent, including front line supervision, and drives change management * Assure legal and regulatory compliance across the site, manages the claim response in coordination with legal for EEOC, Code of Conduct, Discrimination, Harassment, and other policy issues * Coordinates, schedules and/or administers training and development activities * Conducts recruitment and staffing efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and conducts new-employee orientations * Adhoc HR Field Administration work (filing, copy, scanning, etc.) * Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology or other related field * Minimum 5+ years of Human Resources experience **Additional Qualifications:** * Previous experience in a manufacturing plant environment * Demonstrated ability to understand and promote the linkage between business operation objectives, initiatives, and human resources activities * Previous end to end staffing experience * Acts with Leadership and Integrity * Change agent with ability to influence others * Passion for change and continuous improvement * Knowledge of contemporary HR processes and manufacturing processes, including Continuous Improvement mindset * Project Management skills, with ability to manage priorities and drive execution in a matrixed organization * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization * Previous experience working in a Six Sigma or Lean environment * Labor relations experience desired
