Summary
Reporting to the VP HR, the HR Project Specialist is intended to support our business needs through expertise in the field of human resources. The incumbent will have a broad background in a variety of HR functional areas, including but not limited to, talent acquisition, HR operations, HR business partnership.
Responsibilities
* Provides general support as needed by the HR department including Logistics and program management support for regional leadership development programs (coordinating the booking of rooms, scheduling of sessions, nomination of participants, liaising with HRBPs, managers, facilitators, and participants, monitoring completion of pre-work and session attendance, providing periodic reports, etc.) * Identifies, researches and presents suggestions to HR, management, and leadership teams, for learning initiatives that will educate, enhance employee performance, and provide career advancement opportunities at all levels * Plans and organizes training programs, including programs that are accessible to staff who live and work remotely in multiple sites * Coordinates the company wide wellness programs in collaboration with the Benefits Specialist. This can include implementing assigned wellness initiatives, host/plan company events, acting as point of contact for assigned wellness endeavors * Works with hiring managers and Compensation team to update or create new job descriptions based on desired and required job specifications * Prepares various reports (ad hoc and regularly scheduled) from various HR systems or resources, analyze data, and prepare summary quantitative and qualitative analyses for dissemination Provides support to team on preparation and execution of annual Talent Review process * Provides administration support on both short- and long-term projects as and when required * All other assigned projects
Ideal Candidate
* An undergraduate degree in HR/Business Administration; HR certification(s) is an asset * 3+ years of demonstrated experience as an HR Coordinator/HR Project Support capacity to HR Business Partners * Prefer experience within the financial/technology/software industries * Customer focused and success leader with a high level of credibility and collaboration * Demonstrates high level of appreciation for the skills and attributes needed for all positions within the company * Utilizes excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office, CRM program, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) * Anticipates future HR needs and suggests solutions for more effective functioning of the HR department * Excellent talent and social branding skills – leader and participant of social talent branding activities * Proven collaboration skills with the ability to gain consensus through personal influence * Willingness to work and integrate with multiple partners * Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities while being agile and adaptable * Demonstrated integration and strategic planning skills * Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
