Summary

The Manager, Social and Digital Media, is responsible for all aspects of our digital marketing programs, including strategy development and execution, creative and copy development, media planning, and performance analysis. He/she will have experience in SEM, SEO, display advertising, social media, and other ONLINE MARKETING channels. This individual will have substantial authority and autonomy to develop and improve UJA-Federation’s digital marketing program, and will be a key member of our marketing team. This position reports to the Director, Digital & Integrated Marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop UJA-Federation’s digital marketing strategy to support and influence the organization’s communication strategy, fundraising objectives, and donor engagement goals.

  • Drive and optimize UJA-Federation’s SEM & SEO programs. Identify target keywords, create ad copy, optimize landing pages, and implement internal and external inbound links.

  • Define and execute UJA-Federation’s social media strategy, inclusive of platforms, target audiences, content, and organization policies.

  • Be responsive to timely (and sometimes urgent) relevant developments, and appropriately incorporate into ONLINE MARKETING PLANS.

  • Develop and lead execution of special digital marketing campaigns for fundraising, lead generation, community engagement, and other objectives as they arise.

  • Develop and execute digital strategies for before, during, and after UJA-Federation events.

  • Proactively monitor ONLINE MARKETING trends and technologies, and determine ways to leverage and test for UJA-Federation.

  • Partner with internal and external partners to achieve goals, including: UJA-Federation network agencies, marketing agencies, UJA-Federation board members and lay leaders, IT, Legal, PR, and other staff members within Marketing & Communications and across the organization.

  • Consult and educate partners across the organization on ways they can leverage digital marketing to achieve their goals.

  • Lead performance evaluation of digital marketing strategies and tactics. Define success metrics. Develop and maintain associated reporting to measure performance.

  • Communicate comfortably to diverse audiences both orally and in writing, including interacting with high-level donors and all levels of staff.

  • Provide management to direct reports by coordinating assignments, fostering teamwork, directing and coaching, confirming expectations, and providing performance feedback to ensure that individual and team goals are attained.

  • Manage team budget to achieve goals.

Ideal Candidate
  • B.A. or equivalent required

  • 10+ years of marketing experience

  • 5+ years of ONLINE MARKETING experience

  • A passion for ONLINE MARKETING and tapped into the latest digital trends.

  • Proven success with social media marketing; influencer marketing a plus.

  • Proven success with paid digital media.

  • Proven success with paid and organic search campaigns.

  • Highly creative and entrepreneurial in concept development, focused and disciplined in execution.

  • A positive personality and at his/her best when working collaboratively.

  • Strong analysis and Excel skills with an ability to translate data into insights to drive performance.

  • Strong verbal communication, written communication, and presentation development skills.
