Summary
The Director of Digital Marketing will develop and oversee all Axway digital strategies and programs to attract, acquire, retain, and grow customers with a primary focus on traffic, conversion, influencers, and audience reach for all digital marketing activities. Highly strategic, this person will develop, implement, track and optimize our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels, build a community of influencers through social media, as well as define and manage the strategy, roadmap, programs, metrics and user experience for Axway websites. This high profile position is a member of leadership team in the Office of the Chief Digital Officer (CDO). The candidate will collaborate closely with the Marketing Communications, Web, Social Media, Creative & Design, Content Marketing and Demand Generation teams to build comprehensive and successful digital marketing campaigns. The candidate will manage a budget and experienced team while liaising with external agencies to deliver digital projects and campaigns on time and within budget, challenging agency partners to provide creative, memorable, and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap to transform Axway.com into our primary marketing vehicle for brand awareness, demand generation and customer engagement. - Drive processes to identify best practices, optimize the customer experience and drive online customer acquisition based on data from site visitors, user testing and others in the industry to drive online. - Define and own web marketing KPIs across awareness, acquisition, usage, and engagement. - Serve as the primary manager and advocate of Axway’s web strategy. Collaborate, plan and implement a best-in-class user experience and design for axway.com. - Manage ongoing content updates to our websites, including copy, content/resources and SEO, to keep the experience fresh, engaging, and relevant. Assess content effectiveness, and drive alignment between marketing campaign narratives and the website user experience and KPIs. - Guide programs/projects from conception to completion, overseeing all aspects including requirements gathering, scope definition, resource planning, project timeline, budget management, risk management and change control. - Manage site localization strategy and content translation projects. - Drive web content personalization strategy, implementation and ongoing optimization. -Measure website performance and report on a regular basis - Safeguard Axway and Axway customer data through compliance with Axway policies and the appropriate use of Axway equipment and facilities. **Campaign Management** - Lead overarching global vision for Axway digital platforms, with the goals of improving business performance, engaging existing customers, and attracting new customers - Develop fully integrated strong digital programs that support a customer experience driven by engaging story-telling, and utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points - Plan and execute all web promotion, SEO, PPC, social media marketing campaigns and instrument conversion points to optimize lead generation funnels. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) - Constantly test and learn to identify areas for optimization; develop recommendations for messaging/creative and operational/cost efficiencies. - Understand key drivers for performance and determine detailed forecasting to accurately predict ongoing campaign success. - Align with global marketing, regional marketing and cross-functional marketing partners and sales organization to understand market-specific needs and develop an effective program of digital marketing campaigns to support business requirements, grow brand awareness & increase traffic in these markets - Remain up to date on new and emerging technologies that can help engage clients and deepen relationships - Continuously assess the digital competitive landscapes and industry trends, and bring innovative thinking to differentiate Axway from competition - Lead an internal team of digital marketing specialists with a focus on activities performance and development in a fast-paced environment
Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years B2B marketing experience, with direct expertise in leading integrated digital marketing campaigns - Strong track record of managing significant global web properties and driving online customer acquisition, including defining website information architecture, layout, and navigation in support of user-centric design strategies - Proven track record of successful digital marketing campaigns including web, SEO, PPC, social marketing with LinkedIn and Twitter. - Proven track record with localization, search engine optimization, personalization, testing and analytics. - Mindset of continuously testing, learning, and optimizing; open-minded to new approaches - Proven track record leading a fast-paced and high functioning digital marketing team, including 2 direct reports and agencies - Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills, data-driven thinking, analytical to clearly articulate ideas, frame problems and offer solutions - Experience with Lead Automation tools (Pardot or Marketo) and Salesforce.com CRM - Experience working in a matrix organization with multiple product and solution marketing managers, business lines and regional marketing teams. - Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement **Education:** - BA or BS in marketing, communications or advertising. Master’s degree from an accredited university preferred.
