Managing Director, Digital Marketing and Strategy

If so, this critical leadership role will give you the opportunity to lead the development, management and deployment of digital marketing strategies for partners such as Brand Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Sales, IS, Direct to Consumer and Creative Services teams.
Digital Strategy:
- Lead development and overall digital strategy, including digital innovation plans to engage consumers based on individual brand business objectives focused on building awareness and advocacy
- Ensure digital initiatives are developed in concert with the individual brand needs / requirements to connect our brand with consumers
- Serve as strategic advisor and digital partner to Brand Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Sales, IS, Direct to Consumer (i.e., wine clubs), Creative Services as well as external agency partners on development of channels, promotion and engagement strategies, as well as develop digital roadmaps to meet business needs
- Be the digital connector that will bridge web, mobile, CRM, social, SEM/SEO and digital media solutions based on business and marketing objectives
- Manage digital marketing annual budgeting process, as well as monthly/weekly/daily forecasting and reporting at channel level for traffic, spend, ROI and other performance KPIs
- Support senior leadership in the development of program KPIs and reporting results for review
Talent Management:
- Partner with agencies and digital innovation partners to detect best talent and ideas
- Facilitate and lead conversations with your direct reports to develop best practices on Digital Marketing strategy, tools and techniques, agencies and service providers, leveraging shared assets, creating guidelines for social media and digital marketing campaigns, monitoring new digital methods to engage and delight our shoppers and consumers
- Help your team build strong relationships with functional marketing and vendor partners in order to work effectively in the development and execution of campaigns/programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget
- Play a key role in the recruitment, training development and on-boarding of new digital marketing team members
Digital Evangelist:
- Maintain excellence in digital media and future technology market understanding and become an ambassador for digital within the business
- Advocate for increased commitment toward digital marketing across the company Business Units and act as the change management champion to ensure adoption of digital programs and best practices
- Support digital strategies to drive brand growth from an omnichannel strategy including geo-targeting to boost purchasing behavior, email acquisition and other omnichannel customer segmentation opportunities
- Be a leader in digital marketing innovation, industry trends, evolving best practices, competitor activities, 3rd party tools and technology and consumer engagement insights that help grow businesses
What You Need
- Master’s degree plus 10 years of marketing agency, communications, finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility –OR– a Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of marketing agency, communications, finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience with digital/online marketing, campaign development and management, consumer acquisition and retention5 years of supervisory/managerial experience
What Will Set You Apart
- 5 years of digital marketing experience
- Familiarity with mediums and tools across digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, web analytics, social media, web & mobile, affiliate marketing and e-commerce
- Proven track record in leading and managing successful and cost-effective marketing campaigns through a team that leads to notable increases in inbound traffic and unique users
- Experience leveraging brand objectives to design/deliver impactful digital marketing strategies
- Strategic vision of leveraging specific social media platforms, content applicability and development, program management, data-driven ROI analysis and recommendation
- Experience leading database-driven loyalty programs through technology with demonstrated success in building consumer engagement
- Experience leading a digital organization and achieving success
- Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional teams/projects
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, current digital technologies, and emerging digital capabilities
- Strong connections with digital experts in the industry and considered a thought leader by the industry, past companies/clients, peers
- Comfort with ambiguityExperience working in a large-scale consumer products environment
