Summary
The HR Functional Shared Services organization provides a comprehensive portfolio of services to Siemens employees in the United States and Canada. These services include Payroll, Employee Data Management, Leave Administration, Talent Acquisition Services, Learning Services Administration, Delegations Management and Immigration Services, and the Ask HR Employee on Demand Service Center. Payroll is responsible for processing paychecks for 65,000 employees in North America.
Responsibilities
Manage staff related in all pay processing related activities and understand the relationship between the gross to net processing and the back end activities of governmental reporting. Maintains regulatory changes impacting the payroll process. Ensure Customer Service expectations are exceeded in the services provided. Trouble shoots complex payroll issues associated with payroll processing, acquisitions, divestitures. Accrual processing, GL reporting, time and attendance interfacing, special pay processing. Resolves all issues through root cause analysis. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management in a fast paced and complex work environment. Process improvement and working with other areas to develop cost effective and efficient processes.
Ideal Candidate
* Requires a minimum of a completed Bachelor’s degree with 8 or more years in Payroll management dealing with Corporate multi-state payrolls. * Candidate must have experience with large payrolls (10,000 employees or more) * Ideal candidate will be a Certified Payroll Professional designation * Must have command of all aspects of multi-state taxations, garnishments, state pay regulations and other related payroll regulations * Experience with Oracle Fusion or other ERP system (PeopleSoft, ADP etc) * Good understanding of Microsoft Office tools required (e.g. excel, word, powerpoint). * Multi state tax experience required. * Canada payroll experience a plus.
