SELCO Community Credit Union is a not-for-profit consumer cooperative that was established in 1936 when local school teachers and school employees pooled their funds together in a shoe box to offer each other loans in times of need.
Summary
Responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the Branch to provide quality service to existing members and actively develop consumer, commercial and business banking relationships.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate and foster an environment supportive of the Credit Union’s values, service promises, and mission. * Develop, manage and evaluate a successful sales, service and referral culture within the team. Establish goals, benchmarks and measurements for member satisfaction, sales and referrals. Ensure the integration of SELCO Service Promises and CUSO products and services. * Actively pursue and develop new business opportunities. * Act as a relationship officer for commercial and business members. * Manage departmental functions, audits and quality and internal control-related tasks. * Resolve difficult situations, complex issues, problems and complaints. * Mentor and coach team members to achieve desired levels of performance; assist with evaluating and determining necessary training needs. * Establish and communicate individual and team performance goals; review and monitor progress towards goals and measure results to track success of sales culture. * Manage team to ensure team staffing and performance objectives are met including the selection of staff, assigning and reviewing work, providing effective feedback and regular reviews of individual performance, and recommend necessary employment actions. * Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures. * Ensure necessary security controls to maintain sound and secure Branch operations. Oversee maintenance of the Branch building and equipment. * Provide research and annual budgetary recommendations on department-related activities and expenditures. Approve bills as submitted within budget. * Develop and recommend initiatives to Management, track results and opportunities for improvement and provide ongoing feedback on effectiveness. * Deepen member relationships by determining member needs and promoting and cross-selling SELCO’s products and services. * Promote and maintain good public relations in the community through participation in civic and community activities; c * Meet with members and potential members to provide and gather information, coordinate document signing and address any questions or concerns. * Communicate with internal, external, and potential members in a friendly, professional manner in person, over the phone, and via e-mail. * Adhere to federal and state regulations, credit union policies, and other compliance obligations. * Consistently achieve stated goals. * Participate in and/or lead required meetings and training. * Demonstrate leadership skills and maintain corporate values, service promises, and mission statement. * Represent the Credit Union with a high level of integrity and professionalism. * Support Management and member decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner. * Actively participate in security, robbery, disaster recovery and fire training. * Actively contribute to Credit Union and department team goals and functions, including but not limited to, initiating resolution of observed or known issues concerning other departments and championing other departmental changes that will benefit the organization. * Perform other duties as assigned.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone. * Excellent customer service skills. * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals and groups at all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Firm understanding of financial analysis with the ability to analyze information and make sound loan decisions. * Ability to systematically gather, read, retrieve and interpret data. * Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations governing lending and collection practices. * Ability to take initiative, assume responsibility, and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills. * Strong analytical ability with active listening skills. * Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail. * Solid word processing and computer database skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software. * Willingness and ability to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines. * Sound computer skills in and the ability to learn and use a variety of computer system and technology. * Ability to recognize member financial needs and to effectively cross-sell Credit Union and CUSO products and services. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. * Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality and accuracy. * Exhibit a professional, businesslike appearance and demeanor. * Ability to concentrate in environment with background noise and to complete or resume tasks despite interruptions. **Education and Experience** * High School Diploma or equivalent; and * Minimum two (2) years branch operations experience including teller transactions, account services and lending; and * Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience; and * Prior experience in commercial banking; and * Must maintain Active Federal Registration with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System; and * Must be bondable; and * Must possess a valid Oregon State driver’s license.
