Blackboard’s Finance group is looking for an innovative Cloud Services Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team. A desired candidate would possess capability to translate technical knowledge and industry best practice into financial analysis and quantification, for our cloud based products and environments. This position will work alongside senior business leaders in various financial analysis, including performing client hosting cost projection, leading forecast and planning review, developing executive level financial presentation, coordinating budgeting process, etc. Desired candidate will have tremendous opportunities to grow professionally, such as contributing to key decision making process with senior leadership reviews, conducting client and vendor profitability analysis, and developing other complex financial analysis.

* Establish financial model to quantify client profitability via hosting delivery methods, including cost projections and revenue estimate (in the near future). Continue refining and enhancing models to align with R&D and Cloud Services organization. * Engage business leaders directly on the product development updates. Have ability to inquire and research on the latest technology offering and gear our operational performance towards efficiency and optimization. * Work with the business leadership to prepare their detailed annual budget and to build monthly, quarterly and annual Forecasts. * Investigate and report monthly key drivers of variances vs. plan, forecast, prior months and prior year. * Provide financial support for operational review meetings with the CFO that highlight financial and key performance indicator (KPI’s) performance. * Develop ad hoc financial analysis including vendor expense review, client profitability, project evaluation, investment opportunities, etc. * Look for ways to improve the accuracy and bring efficiency to current processes through the increased use of automation and developing new tools and reporting capabilities.

* Looking for someone with both technical and finance background and 5+ years or more of job-related experience. Experience in technology company is MUST. Masters (Finance/Accounting) or MBAs preferred. * Previous experience with managed hosting and cloud-based/SaaS solutions is highly preferred. * Advanced Excel is a MUST. PowerPoint skills, with a particular focus on financial modeling and the use of advanced features of spreadsheets are preferred. * Focus on long-term strategy and problem-solving, with ability to run end-to-end analysis and deliver final recommendations. * Desire to step up and lead analysis with various team a must. * Highly organized and ability to work on multiple projects at once. * High level of analytical ability and accuracy. * Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision. * Excellent communications, interpersonal and presentation skills required. * Team player able to build relationships and work across the organization. * Excellent time management, project management and organizational skills. * Must thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative environment. * Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive and confidential information. * Flexibility a must.
