Summary
MV Transportation is looking for an Corporate Recruiter who will be responsible for developing external bench, sourcing for external exempt talent to support bids and proposals, perform analyses and run reports on labor supply/demand and wages in targeted markets, and follow up with candidates. They will also implement and support the executive hiring process at corporate and support areas while managing the external pipelines for future talent demands.
Responsibilities
* Source, screen, interview and propose top external talent for bids and proposals from BD customers to meet RFP deadlines * Work closely with Business Development and Marketing leadership on bids, proposals and re-bids to conduct intakes and develop clear ideas of jobs and required skill sets for candidates * Develop and provide reports on labor supply, wages and labor markets for required jobs per requests from internal customers in BD in a timely fashion (typically 2-3 day turnaround) using web-based company resources * Create and manage online tool for external bench for big operational jobs at MV * Conduct day-to-day recruiting activities to fill requisitions for selected Director, VP and other executive roles * Create and manage a positive candidate experience, including setting up and implementing feedback loops for all passive and active external candidates * Develop and support company recruiting processes and act as a resource on all points of the recruitment cycle for corporate and BD leadership. * Creatively source and develop a pool of qualified applicants through the use of traditional and non-traditional techniques including social media channels, cold-calling/direct sourcing, networking, job fairs, employment agencies, internet searches, postings, etc. * Determine candidate qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses and comparing qualifications to job requirements * Build relationships with Industry sources, such as schools with major Transportation programs, Community Sources, Professional Associations, Military Resources, and other resources. * Develop and improve recruiting process, metrics and procedures * Coordinate work between HR, corporate and BD.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum three (3)+ years' experience in sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing in a professional environment * Strong relationship management, selling, teamwork, communications and organizational skills. * Must be able to manage relationships with high level passive candidates and internal executives, top notch interviewing skills and credible SME. * Experience with union environments and transit highly desirable * Solid knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to recruitment. * Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. * Must be strong in Microsoft Office and familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems. * Prefer knowledge of common recruiting metrics and a track record of delivering and improving their outcomes (e.g., time to fill, cost per hire, quality of hire, etc.) * Travel about 30% * Bachelors' degree strongly preferred
