Summary
The Vail Mountain Recruiter will partner with operational managers and supervisors, human resources operations and the Vail Resorts enterprise-wide Talent Acquisition team to effectively staff mountain operations, skier services, mountain dining, and all other associated positions at Vail Mountain. The selected individual will have the opportunity to build and grow strong business relationships and in-depth understanding of the business as well as achieving delivery on assigned requisitions.
Responsibilities
* Local point of contact and TA subject matter expert to business operations and human resources. * Works within the Eagle County onsite TA team. * Develops and maintains strong relationships with business operators, HR operations staff and community partners. * Responsible for filling year round and seasonal staffing needs on assigned requisitions including sourcing, screening, selection and application processing through the applicant tracking system. * Executes customized yet coordinated TA strategy under direction of the Eagle County TA Manager. * Works closely with senior management of Vail Mountain HR. * Provides meaningful reporting on status of requisitions and applicant pipeline. * Participates in job fairs, local college/university recruitment, and social media recruiting. * Participates in strategic employment marketing and branding initiatives. * Partners with TA managers and hiring managers to execute a coordinated international recruitment program. * Provides logistical support for hiring manager training on Applicant Tracking System and Interviewing. * Partners with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective and timely posting of seasonal and year round positions. * Provides support to HR Staff regarding staffing levels, TA programs, and candidate support. * Engages applicants in a friendly and professional manner consistent with Vail Resorts values; provide support to walk-in, electronic and telephone candidates. * Provides professional communication and interaction in person, on the phone and through email. * Must be able to function under heavy pressure with constant phone use, will disperse the same information repeatedly, and needs to have the ability to make the last person of the day feel like they are the very first! * Ensures each candidate has a positive recruiting experience with our organization. * Serves as a local resource to candidates; understand, communicate, and answer candidate questions. * Manages and organizes a high-volume work load while multitasking, including working on split computer screens. * Utilizes daily reports to manage and organize a high-volume work load. * Responsible for managing interview schedule. * Serves as subject matter expert on internal hiring process and system. * Engages in compliant hiring practices and partner with regional TA Manager to ensure hiring manager compliance. * Responsible for compliance/audit initiatives; including but not limited to: AAP, EEO, OFCCP. * Partners with local HR team to facilitate Vail Resorts background check process and electronic paperwork process. * Participates as an active member of the local Human Resources teams. * Follows PO process and meets budget requirements.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Prior experience in a resort setting or staffing a similar business based on a seasonal workforce. * Proven ability to build internal and external customer/candidate relationships. * Strong written and verbal English communication skills. * Influential communication skills. * Excellent computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel. * Demonstrated time management skills and ability to multi-task. * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. * During staffing ramps and seasonal business needs will work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays. **Preferred Skills:** * High-volume recruiting experience. * Prior experience using Success Factors or other Applicant Tracking Systems. * Prior experience with Peoplesoft. * Bilingual Spanish - highly preferred. * Familiarity with local area.
