Summary
The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for assisting the Vice President, Human Resources in the overall administration, coordination, evaluation, and execution of duties of the human resource function to meet overall corporate objectives.
Responsibilities
* Infuse the Patch Values into your work ethic, every day, and every interaction. * Help evaluate employee survey results and actively make and process best-in-class recommendations to ensure employee productivity is maximized, retention increases and Kasasa maintains it standing as a Top 10 Place to Work as ministered by the Austin Business Journal. * Help develop, administer, and execute various human resources plan and procedures for all company personnel. * As appropriate, ensure all assigned HR-related vendors are managed in accordance with established Service Level Agreements. * Assist with planning, organizing, and controlling all activities of the department. * Participate in developing quantified and aligned department goals, objectives, and systems. * Partner with the Vice President, Human Resources to keep current and update, vet, publish and communicate the organizational compensation pay bands/grades, employee handbook, learning & development programs, engagement surveys, job descriptions, skills & competency tools, performance management program, and other institutional programs, as required to meet organizational objectives. * Provide best-in-class advice and counsel to develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures, assist with the management of benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow, as well as annual and other required enrollments. * Actively participate in research, evaluation, and presentation of automated solutions for HR (HRIS) or the enterprise (ERP). * Take primary responsibility for ensuring organization meets all federal, state and municipal affirmative action requirements to include filing the EEO-1 annually; developing and maintaining other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. * Oversee the successful performance and efforts of department HR Generalists and/or Recruiters. * Participate in personally conducting recruitment efforts for assigned roles without the use of external agencies, except as approved by the VP, Human Resources, and/or the COO, within established hiring timelines. * Assist VP, Human Resources and in partnership with other assigned employees to research, evaluate, present and implement as best-in-class HRIS and/or ERP to improve HR efficiencies and effectiveness in alignment with organizational goals. * Work with the VP, Human Resources to develop, implement and manage a behavioral-based interview program and works with supervisors/managers to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitor career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews. * Assist in ensuring the organization has a career-path, mentoring and job-shadowing program to increase engagement, retention, and opportunities for all employees. * Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings, such as seminars. * Ensure all organizational charts and employee directories are current and up-to-date. * Assist the VP, Human Resources to evaluate reports, decisions, and results of HR initiatives in relation to established organizational goals. * Actively participate in expediently responding to and processing assigned employee relations, reference check, unemployment, workmen compensation, FMLA, PTO and other employee-related requests or claims. * Work with VP, Human Resources to capture and evaluate exit survey data and recommend solutions to increase retention, utilizing current surveys or evaluating other, more effective options. * Consistently research and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. * Ensure records are accurately developed and maintained in compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. * Actively monitor, record and counsel assigned employees on performance. * Perform other duties, as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Position Requirements** * A bachelor's degree and ten years of human resource experience, or fifteen years of experience in the HR field; master’s degree in business, management or HR, preferred. * Knowledge of the codified body of knowledge associated with HR as demonstrated by having a current SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP certification.
