Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for serving as a single point of contact for our Conway, AR operations as it relates to: general policy and procedure, benefits, payroll and compensation inquiries; onboarding and off boarding, reporting, training and special projects as assigned. This role under limited supervision will provide a broad range of administrative support to internal and external clients; have the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, have high attention to detail and must be able to deliver excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Serves as HR-SME to the employees - Investigate policy violations - Interprets/applies policy - Implements operational HR Strategy - Applies compliance knowledge to protect organization - Seeks ways to proactively improve org outcomes - Reports trends to senior leadership - Clarifies objectives of change and drafts preliminary communication plans - Is a visible supporter of change, ensures teammate advocacy is represented in change processes - Develops new partnerships with managers and employees - Oversees transactional employee relations issues - Recognizes potential employee relations issues proactively, and either resolves them or moves them to sr. leaders - Mediates difficult interactions effectively, escalating when necessary - Conducts initial investigation of HR issues - Manages projects within the allotted time and budget - Gathers facts to inform HR policy & develop solutions - Supports programs and procedures to support the organizational culture - Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability - Serves as principle liaison to frontline managers for HR strategies and initiatives within the organization - Listens actively - Delivers well- organized, impactful presentations - Facilitates and transfers knowledge - Translates communication strategy into practice at the operational level - Implements/Audits organizational practices to ensure global/cultural sensitivity - Trains expatriate workforce on cultural trends and practices - Employs cultural sensitivity in interactions - Reinforces difficult decisions that align with organizational strategy and values - Establishes one's self as a credible resource for all issues involving employees and management - Maintains objectivity during critical evaluation processes - Conducts assessments to identify root causes of problems and implements effective solutions within the business unit - Identifies patterns in data, raises issues to higher level mgmt - Maintains knowledge of HR & business metrics including key performance indicators and relationships with one another - Develops skill in building the business case for HR projects and initiatives - Other responsibilities as required
Ideal Candidate
**Required** - B.S. in Business or related field - 2 - 3 years of experience in human resources to include but not limited to the following HR areas; - Employee Relations - Performance Management - Talent Management (Acquisition; Training; Retention; Satisfaction; Development) - Compensation - understanding of; Rewards & Recognition - Demonstrated success in building strong credibility and working relationships with client groups at all levels of teammates (individual contributors up through executive management). - Ability to manage projects and solve complex problems effectively, efficiently and with creativity. - Strong written and verbal communications skills. - Working knowledge of employment law - Ability to successfully manage multiple prioritie - Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization - Strong commitment to company values and operating principles - Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment **Preferred** - Experience supporting or working in sales-related functions/departments. - 3-5 years of experience in human resources, including demonstrated success in working as an HR generalist within a large size company. - Business acumen. Ability to understand and operationalize complex business needs and objectives. - Proven ability to manage complex employee relations situations and investigations - Broad experience and expertise in talent acquisition, rewards/compensation, development, coaching/consulting, and diversity/inclusion strategies - SHRM Certification.
