Summary
This position is responsible for creating, maintaining and updating Access database systems for QC Managers, Inspectors, Merchants, Planners and members of the Technical Services staff to record and provide information that tracks ingredient specifications, QC Inspections, Vendor Status/Qualification, Substitution Approvals, Shipping Restrictions, and the disposition of discrepant material through the Material Review Board. This position manages the Cold Conditioning process for all HDO grown winter pears to be sure all gifts containing pears have received adequate cold treatment and are released for distribution at the appropriate time. In addition, this position is asked to prepare all organizational charts and flow diagrams for the department to effectively communicate responsibilities and processes to the larger organization.
Responsibilities
* Assure accurate coding of all items received, including those from outside vendors and those made in house. In doing so, determine appropriate shelf life per gift stage, appropriate storage and shipping temperatures, whether the item has a best if by date, appropriate shipping method and incubation needs. Updates coding as products and specifications change. Maintains coding procedures and trains others. * Manages cold incubation of products, such as pears and dry fruits. * Creates and updates and maintains databases supporting Quality Assurance functions. * Issues reports on product expiration and inventory for QA and outside department use. * EWM, ECC, DOCS and BCS system specialist for Quality Assurance. Draws data from all sources to support QA functions. * QA system administrator, including timekeeping supervision.
Ideal Candidate
* 2 year degree or additional higher education is desired. * 2-4 years of related work experience preferred in data entry * 2-4 years Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel * 1-3 years’ experience working in and managing Access Databases * Strong organizational skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
