Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for managing the complete product lifecycle of new and existing GreatCall products and services through requirements gathering, requirements analysis, system design, implementation, QA, deployment, and sustaining. This role focuses upon mobile device application layer design and development with respect to the elements of user interface, location based services, and data services. In addition, the Product Manager will work with various groups of stakeholders within the company to ensure successful and on-time launches. This is a high visibility, hands-on position that requires commitment, ownership, flexibility, careful planning, and attention to details.
Responsibilities
* Develop products and services focusing upon end user experiences and the needs of stakeholders including Software Development, SQA, Customer Care, Training, Logistics, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Billing Operations * Design and develop detailed technical requirements and specifications documentation for new mobile device hardware and software in order to satisfy GreatCall business requirements * Manage product development and timelines through design, development, test/certification, and commercial launch to ensure on time delivery of high quality products and services * Provide technical support to internal teams during product life cycle (Design, Development, QA, Certification, Deployment, Sustaining, and End-of-Life) * Technical point of contact for a product line and associated services for Customer Care, Technical Training, and Marketing * Continuous product improvement resulting in better user experiences through lessons learned from teams representing end user feedback, user stories, and data analytics * Continuous and iterative evaluation and refinement of Product Development processes that lead to operational efficiency * Manage vendors, suppliers, and partners for development and certification for new products and services * Perform critical root cause analysis on products and services along with corrective actions based upon sound engineering principles * Assist with prioritization of deliverables across all projects with respect to quarterly objectives Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** Bachelor's degree required in Engineering or equivalent technical field **Experience:** * Minimum 5 years of experience in product management or technical role/capacity required * Experience launching products and/or services required * Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful product launch * Prior experience with HW and SW platforms such as Android preferred * Prior experience with wireless technology preferred **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:** * Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) * Excellent understanding of technical detail and the ability to articulate to technical and non-technical personnel * Strong analytical skills and ability to make technical decisions, recommendations, and conclusions based upon data * Creative problem solving using logic and reasoning as used in programming * Knowledge of SDLC & Agile (SCRUM methodology) preferred **Personal Attributes** * Action oriented * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to learn quickly on the fly * Ability to learn new technologies quickly * Ability to think things through * Ability to figure things out * Resourceful and able to multi-task * BackEmail
