Summary
We are looking for an experienced web developer to join our corporate team! This is a full time perm position at Bartech HQ working for Bartech. This is NOT a contract role.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of a custom web based payroll and billing application - Utilize Twitter framework for application interface - Collaborate with development teams to discuss, analyze, or resolve usability issues. - Install or configure web server software or hardware to ensure that directory structure is well-defined, logical, secure, and that files are named properly. - Develop web site performance metrics - Set up or maintain monitoring tools on web servers or web sites - Check and analyze operating system or application logfiles regularly to verify proper system performance - Perform user testing or usage analyses to determine web sites' effectiveness or usability - Develop testing routines, methodologies and procedures - valuate testing routines or procedures for adequacy, sufficiency, and effectiveness - Help manage a large MySQL database - Have the opportunity to learn Lotus Domino
Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills** - Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. - Create web models or prototypes that include physical, interface, logical, or data models. - Incorporate technical considerations into web site design plans, such as budgets, equipment, performance requirements, or legal issues including accessibility and privacy. - Research, document, rate, or select alternatives for web architecture or technologies. - Select programming languages, design tools, or applications. - Develop web site maps, application models, image templates, or page templates that meet project goals, user needs, or industry standards. - Develop system interaction or sequence diagrams. - Provide clear, detailed descriptions of web site specifications such as product features, activities, software, communication protocols, programming languages, and operating systems software and hardware. **Required Experience** - A minimum of two years of current work experience in the administration and development of websites; database administration including MySQL and SQL server. - Must have an ability to work independently with minimal direction in a timely and efficient manner to accomplish specific tasks within given deadlines. - Ability to utilize resources and creativity to enhance and develop website structure and interaction. **Desired:** - Payroll/Accounting experience - Creative problem solving - Technical skills, 3 year’s experience in: PHP/MySQL Development IIS 7 Javascript/HTML JQuery/JSON **Nice to Have:** - Lotus Notes Development - Twitter Bootsrap/Framework - DBA *Education:* - High school diploma or equivalent
