Responsibilities
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Partner Manager to leverage his/her experience and strong understanding of Big Data and analytics to help extend EMC’s strength in the analytics market place by managing all aspects of the BDS partner ecosystem. The primary functions of the role are: - Managing the overall BDS strategic partner ecosystem to align with their business objectives, sales methodology and go-to-market efforts to deliver compelling joint-value proposition. - Partners will range from foundational technology to “app catalog” to integrator/channel relationships and engagement will align accordingly. - Creating and delivering a partner strategy platform that addresses the market and engagement opportunities for each kind of partner along with each strategic partner. - Collaborating with key stakeholders across the company to leverage all elements of EMC’s engagement. - Representing BDS in EMC-wide discussions and activities with key partners to ensure priority delivery of the Data Lake message and brand. - Working across the ecosystem to drive increased awareness, market leadership and sales of BDS Data Lake/partner integrated solutions. - Engaging in the end-to-end relationship with BDS partners as documented in a strategic Plan of Record. - Partnering with the BDS team for key programs including joint customer outreach, enablement activities, campaigns, events and joint content development. - Driving timely marketing cadence engagement with follow-up reporting to keep initiatives successfully on track. - Operating at both strategic and tactical levels, developing strategic plans and then overseeing and/or executing on those plans. - Collaborating with BDS management to ensure alignment across key stakeholder teams and leaders including partner executive teams, engineering, professional services, sales and marketing. - Overseeing communications to ensure promotion, understanding and buy-in of the BDS partner program across the ecosystem. - Leading all reporting functions to define and measure program success and impact.
Ideal Candidate
- Thoroughly understands and can articulate BDS’s partner direction, capabilities and solutions to our ecosystem. - Has relevant industry/domain acumen in business analytics software and/or Big Data. Includes some technical ability to understand Big Data, the Data Lake strategy to recognize areas of product integration and opportunity, discuss product roadmaps and engage with relevant stakeholders. - Ability to formulate and deliver a partnership vision, strategy, and execution plan. - Appreciates the importance of partnering across the delivery ecosystem to optimize the BDS Data Lake revenue. - Ability to influence and nurture all aspects of the partnership from platform discussions to marketing engagement. - Disciplined approach to partner strategy management. - Solid communication and presentation skills. - Able to clearly lead, articulate and deliver on program goals, strategy and execution elements. - Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. - Proven experience working with cross functional teams/business units. - Strong team player with a positive attitude. - International and domestic travel required (50%+).
