Summary
Dynamic Signal is looking for a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for processing payroll related transactions for our US and UK employees. You must have a minimum 2 years of payroll experience with good knowledge of multi-state payroll requirements and laws. Work closely with Finance and HR team members. We are seeking an individual who can ensure that all activities related to this job position are accomplished in an ethical, prudent and secure manner.
Responsibilities
* Process US and UK payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees (regular salaries, bonuses, commissions, PTOs, deductions, withholdings, etc.) * Manage and streamline workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely through collaboration with HR, Finance and 3rd party administrators * Reconcile and audit payroll prior to transmission against approved documents and validate confirmed reports, including semi-monthly reconciliations of HSA/FSA/401k deductions * Understand proper taxation and calculation of employer paid benefits and garnishments * Process accurate and timely quarter and year-end reporting and compliance (961’s, W-2, W-2c, etc.) * Research, analyze and resolve payroll-related issues or questions * Participate in design and implementation of best practice in accordance with the company policies. * Prepare payroll and commission journal entries as needed supported by sufficient documentation & calculation. * Assist with other accounting tasks and ad-hoc projects as needed
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Minimum 2 years’ experience processing multi-state payroll * Solid knowledge of federal and state payroll related regulations * Good understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices * Proficiency in MS Office Suite with intermediate skills in Excel including VLOOKUP, if functions, pivot tables, etc. * Prior experience utilizing ADP desired * Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred * CPP preferred but not required **Personal attributes:** * Reliability with strong work ethics * Maturity and professionalism to handle confidential data * Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail. Must be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and demands * Ability to communicate effectively with the teammates and various levels of management * Analytical and motivated to self-educate on changing payroll regulations; able to identify and report relevant issues to the Controller for timely and accurate resolution.
