Branch Accountant

• Master the chart of accounts to code account payable invoices to the correct account number
• Classify freight into either: Freight in and Freight out from OTM
• Research Match Exceptions in Accounts Payable and work with the Procurement Department and Corporate AP to resolve outstanding issues
• Match I/C invoices to receivers
• Reconcile Overseas Containers, Ocean Freight and Agent Commission
• Track Ocean Freight Trend
• Calculate Royalties for the Unit and redistribute cost
• Reconcile Payroll to the general ledger and complete journal entries as necessary
• Complete costing for multiple branches in the following categories: Overseas Material Cost, Domestic Material Cost, I/C Material Cost, Overseas Freight Cost, Domestic Freight Cost, I/C Freight Cost updating new part numbers with the ELC.

• Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Accounting
• Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience in Accounting. Preferably with a background in A/P and Costing
• Advanced computer skills in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), Word, Outlook
• Ability conceptualize, design and improve business processes
• Strong problem solving and management skills
• Team and goal orientated
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• MRPII systems education
