Senior General Ledger Accountant

This role will be very hands on and play an integral part in all aspects of accounting operations with opportunities to work on various projects as we scale. The ideal candidate will be someone who can roll up their sleeves to execute accounting operations and help implement systems that can scale and implement efficient processes. The Senior Accountant should enjoy a fast-paced environment, be a team player and have an excellent ability to prioritize individual and team objectives while developing the accounting infrastructure at Credit Karma.

* Execute on all aspects of accounting operations, including but not limited to A/P, A/R, fixed assets, prepaids, general ledger, and revenue recognition * Own the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting models as a key participant in the monthly close process * Lead and assist in field work for interim and annual audits * Assist with researching and resolving technical accounting issues * Maintain and improve upon the current accounting infrastructure, ensuring that all financial systems and files stay in sync with the general ledger * Assist with the development and implementation of new systems and internal controls that meet the Company’s business growth and culture * Ad hoc analyses and projects as needed

* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field * Combination of Big 4 CPA firm background and industry experience preferred * 4-6 years of total accounting experience, with increasing levels of responsibilities * Hands-on approach, extremely detail oriented * Strong understanding of GAAP accounting concepts * Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas * Ability to thrive in fast-growing environment where change is the norm;requires strong multi-tasking skills, and the flexibility to switch from oneproject to the next quickly * Excellent oral and written communication skills * NetSuite experience is a plus * CPA license a plus
