Summary
The Benefits Manager will manage the benefits function for our fast growing company. The role will blend some of the day to day responsibilities of benefits administration with a strategic component to evaluate existing and new programs that offer high value to employees and align with the culture and mission of Credit Karma. You will manage our benefits plans and will work closely with our HR and Finance teams, benefits brokers and all levels of employees.
Responsibilities
* Manage, implement, administer, and communicate benefit programs. * Assist with benefits implementation and administration. * Build proposals backed by data, benchmarking and financial modeling to recommend benefit programs that support our overall philosophy, demonstrate innovation and provide cost efficient solutions. * Contribute to the annual renewal and Open Enrollment process. * Develop time off and leave policies, including implementing administrative best practices to support these policies. * Work closely with our HRIS team to manage our benefit enrollment system, including troubleshooting errors with our eligibility feeds and continuing the buildout of further automation with the top priority on international benefits enrollment. * Implement automated solutions and efficient processes to improve how we operate today and ensure that we can scale for growth. * Think outside of the box and build solutions that innovate how we approach benefits in the marketplace. * Assist with the on-going communication and maintenance of our benefit programs. * Stay current on benefits legislation and be responsible for compliance. * Handle audits, required filings, and other compliance tasks as required.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business / Human Resources * 5+ years of experience in benefit plan development, design, and administration of benefit programs.4+ years’ progressive experience in global benefits administration, design and analysis. * Proven track record of implementing new benefit programs. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as an ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner. * Customer-focused and business-minded with an ability to foster relationships, influence decisions, and gain trust with stakeholders. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing business needs, while remaining creative and innovative. * Strong working knowledge of benefits related legislation and compliance (i.e., COBRA, FMLA, Paid Paternity Leave, ACA, etc.). * Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative in a startup environment. * Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Must demonstrate excellent and timely customer service. * Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills. * Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ADP and technologically savvy. Experience with Workday preferred.
