Summary
The Human Resources (HR) Representative for Sales partners with Sales Leadership and the Human Resources team to develop employee capabilities and improve performance of business operations within the Sales Organization. This will include the facilitation and implementation of key HR strategies and client specific initiatives to recruit, retain and develop the workforce located throughout the US and Canada. In addition, the HR Representative will help develop and implement process improvements in the HR department’s service and support to teams, and assist with day to day operations. The incumbent will showcase his/her communication, employee relations expertise and organizational skills to ensure our internal clients are provided assistance, support and customer service in line with the Business strategies and Company’s missions and values. As a member of the Human Resources Group, the Human Resource Representative reports Human Resources Director for North American Sales.
Responsibilities
* Drives employee retention and recognition programs; * Assumes responsibility for effectively recording, maintaining, and reporting employee data and human resources information; * Supports HR related questions from field employees and sales managers; and * Supports employee relations and the performance management process.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Demonstrated knowledge of the practices and principles of human resources including FMLA, ADA, worker’s compensation, safety administration, benefits, employee relations, and providing consultative services to various client groups. * Demonstrated knowledge of US federal and state employment law and equal employment guidelines and policies including the principles and practices of staffing administration including methods and techniques used in recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, and training. * Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian employment laws preferred. * Ability to work well with all levels of employees and management. * Demonstrated ability to effectively take action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment and successful stress tolerance. * Experience with Human Resource systems. * Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and guide processes through to closure. * Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and other proprietary software). * Strong results orientation and a history of driving positive change with measurable results. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure and deal with multiple priorities. * Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material and information in an ethical, professional manner. * Ability to travel – 20% - 40% **Education/Experience:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field. * 3 or more years of generalist HR experience with exposure to employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, training and development, and recruitment. * Experience with sales teams, preferred * PHR certification, preferred
