Summary
The Benefits Administrator is a key member of the HR Team. As the primary contact for all health and wellness initiatives, with a highly visible role, the Benefits Administrator will be responsible for the administration and delivery of a suite of integrated and comprehensive programs to improve the health and well-being of Belkin and its employees. This includes program launch and operations, employee engagement initiatives, vendor interface and reporting, and continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities
* Assist with design and development of detailed strategic plans for health and wellness programs. Administer and communicate the company’s benefits program plan options, features and enrollment requirements. May administer both domestic and certain international programs. Assist employees with benefit inquiries. * Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws governing benefits practices. Audit effectiveness of benefit programs on a regular basis and make recommendations. * Ensure vendors are administering programs accurately and adhering to contractual obligations, especially as it pertains to expected service and quality levels; establishing and maintaining a productive relationship with vendors to ensure timely completion of scheduled tasks and projects. * Coordinate key health and wellness initiatives/projects as they are developed (i.e. health fairs and screenings, fitness classes, gym memberships, special events, etc.) * Evaluate, analyze and maintain HRIS records, ensure data integrity, administration of employee self-service related to benefits. * Audit and reconcile vendors’ eligibility reports and monthly invoices. Verify that all new enrollees have been added, all terminated employees are removed, and changes in coverage are reflected timely on the payment request to Accounts Payable. * Interface with third-party vendors to resolve any issues that may arise. * Participate in New Hire orientations for employees. Verify that the new employee has completed all necessary online enrollments in a timely manner. * Assist employees with leave of absence paperwork including leaves for FMLA, CFRA, PDL or other medical or personal leaves of absence. Provide information regarding employee leaves to managers and HR department personnel. * Oversee the administration of COBRA, FSA ad HSA information from third party administrator. Keep up to date with and comply with the applicable laws governing these programs. * Update HR Department’s Intranet site with benefits information and pertinent sites and assist HR department personnel with other Intranet updates. * Oversee and support Annual “Open Enrollment” efforts including conducting trainings/vendor fairs and managing open enrollment schedule and deadlines. * Assist with other HR programs, duties, and projects, such as working with statistical data and reports, as required. * Perform other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* BS/BA degree in Human Resources and/or Business Administration * 3+ years progressive experience in benefits administration and managing benefits programs in a multi-site or global environment is highly desirable * HRIS familiarity with Ceridian, Workday, Benetrac systems, Success Factors, or other HR operational and systems (e.g. Oracle, Business Objects) * Knowledge of benefit terminology and concepts, practices, and processes; ability to stay abreast of changes * Possess a comprehensive, working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations including ERISA, Healthcare Reform Act, COBRA, FMLA, CFRA Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information * Interpersonal skills and effective interaction with others both internally and with external vendors * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently with extreme accuracy and adjust to changing priorities with minimal supervision. Must be able to take initiative and work with ambiguity * Ability to handle sensitive, problematic, confidential situations with poise, tact, diplomacy and with the appropriate discretion * Problem solving skills, strong mathematical and statistical skills; strong written communication skills, and presentation, and facilitation skills * Analytical capabilities and attention to detail, able to organize and manage workflow and deadlines * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook * Maintain a safe and clean work environment * Understand and follow company rules and regulations * Perform all other duties as assigned and required
