Summary
The Senior Human Resources Project Manager supports delivery of assigned global HR projects (one or more) within Global Human Resources. The Sr. HR Project Manager will work closely with the members of the HR program management team, program managers/leaders, assigned IT resources, project stakeholders and Covance HR leadership to ensure deliverables are in alignment.
Responsibilities
* Accountable to deliver assigned projects on time and on budget. Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of project status including the creation of regular project dashboards and tracking of project cost and resource usage. * Facilitates identification of key stakeholders, communication and change needs and ensures appropriate stakeholder engagement for all levels of the organization throughout the project lifecycle. * Responsible for the creation and day to day update of a detailed project schedule for each assigned project. * Provides pro-active advice and counsel to the program leader and team members on best practice to ensure project success. * Supports program leader in developing project change and communications. * Responsible for the collection, cataloguing, and maintenance of a variety of project documentation including requirements gathering, risk identification and mitigation, etc. * Monitors compliance with project management and process management standards, policies, procedure, and templates. * Completes tasks within assigned project work streams * Responsible for understanding roles and responsibilities with all assigned project tasks to make recommendations and assignments. * Facilitates problem resolution, such as deviation from project plans. * Instills a culture of continuous improvement, quality and productivity. * Leads work stream meetings, updates to steering committees, etc. * Manages project plan against the budget, giving visibility to overages and underspent funds. * Must be willing to complete hands on tactical deliverables and support strategic thinking throughout the project.
Ideal Candidate
**Education/Qualifications** * BA/BS required * Candidates with current PMP, Agile, Six Sigma and/or Change Management certifications are strongly preferred. * Ability to perform intermediate/advanced computer skills including use of MS project, Excel, Sharepoint, etc. **Experience** * 10 to 12 years working within the Human Resources function with experience managing projects, process improvement, and/or continuous improvement activities. * Creative driver with resilient approach to work * Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and faciliatation * Superior time management skills, including the ability to prioritze and multitask.
