Responsibilities
- Identify, plan, develop and implement strategic e-marketing initiatives - Manage the college's email marketing platform (MailChimp), overseeing editorial and technical components, quality assurance and execution of email marketing programs - Develop creative email concepts and write compelling copy - Manage calendar and deadlines for email marketing programs - Initiate and maintain strong working relationships with business units across the college. Serve as liaison between communications, web, IT and database staff - Manage constituent relationship management technology solution (NationBuilder) for Office of Development/Alumni Relations; maintain and troubleshoot issues and oversee third-party integration and maintenance (Stripe, Authorize.net) - Oversee reporting and analytics; provide insights and look for opportunities for growth and efficiencies using internal data and industry best practices - Provide initial training and oversight for administrators managing departmental blogs, event registration, giving forms and email communication - Supervise a marketing assistant - Manage other online content as needed.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional experience in marketing, digital media or related field are required. Proficiency in email marketing platforms and constituent relationship management technology solutions is required. At least one year in a client-facing leadership role is preferred. - Excellent writing, editing and marketing skills. - Experience leading the development, testing and implementation of email marketing programs. - Expertise in email best practices including contact strategies, design, A/B testing, deliverability, list segmentation, and analytics/performance management. - Superior organizational, time management and problem solving skills. - Excellent client service skills and ability to achieve results through consensus building. - Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS and Adobe Photoshop. - Understanding of interactive design, information architecture, and user-centric design techniques and processes. - Experience with marketing for a complex organization preferred. Staff management experience desired.
