Summary
CourseHorse is looking for a talented Senior User Experience Designer with experience working on web products in the ecommerce space. You will work closely with our marketing and engineering teams to dig into metrics & talk to users to identify opportunities to improve the site, develop, test & iterate on wireframes, flesh out the requirements of your solutions, and to analyze the success of the final features built.
Responsibilities
* **Ownership over Conversion Rate & Retention:** Your most direct responsibility will be to improve the conversion rate and customer retention rate of our web & mobile user experience, through rigorous A/B testing. * **Product Metrics:** You'll need a deep understanding of ecommerce product metrics, and how to dig into and analyze those metrics to uncover areas of opportunity or problems that must be solved, and which features/solutions should take the highest priority. * **User-Focused Product Design:** You'll need to combine user-focused, quantitative and qualitative research and analysis with sound information architecture & goal-directed design principles to craft solutions that delight our members. * **Collaboration:** You'll need to work with marketers, web designers, and developers to rapidly execute your solutions.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience * 3+ years experience building web applications * Proven ability to be attentive to detail and to think through all the use cases and edge cases, not just the happy path * Proficient skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and InDesign); Sketch App * Familiar and comfortable with the Agile development process and its working principles * eCommerce experience * Familiarity of HTML/CSS (coding not required, but a basic understanding is helpful) * Previous experience with rapid prototyping tools like UXPin, Invision, or Divshot
