Responsibilities
**Overview:** The Producer, Digital Media, Shot@Life will take a leading role with the creation, editing and posting of content to support Shot@Life. He/she will develop and implement strategies to increase action-rates for fundraising and advocacy, website traffic, email supporters and social media engagement. **Working Relationships:** The Producer is a member of the Public Affairs and Shot@Life teams. The Producer will directly report to the Senior Director, Digital and Multimedia Strategy; however, will also report to the Deputy Director and Senior Director of the Shot@Life campaign. - Work with Senior Director, Digital and Multimedia Strategy, Senior Communications Officer and Shot@Life team to develop and implement digital strategies across email, web, multimedia and social media platforms; - Work independently and with both the digital and Shot@Life teams to identify, explore and implement creative digital strategies; make data-driven recommendations for content and digital media tools as to increase action-rates for advocacy and fundraising, web traffic, and subscribers; - Lead online strategy for constituency building to help reach Shot@Life’s annual goals per the campaign business plan; - Lead digital content creation, which includes but is not limited to include writing and editing for web, blog, email, and social media; - Monitor, analyze, and report out web, social media and email KPIs and make recommendations to enhance traffic and supporter participation; - Proactively engage with online supporters, influencers and bloggers as well as celebrity advocates; - Lead the strategy, segmentation and A/B testing for the Shot@Life email list and advise on email list acquisitions through Change.org, Care2.com, etc.; - Work with the Public Affairs team and program staff on to ensure content sharing and synergy across foundation digital platforms; - Maintain branding and messaging consistency on and offline; - Project manage Shot@Life’s digital initiatives by working closely with third-party vendors; - Keep up-to-date on digital media and web industry standards and trends; - Represent Shot@Life at events and serve as a campaign spokesperson when needed; - Other projects and duties as may be assigned.
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 3-5 years of digital communications experience; - Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Journalism or related field; - Proficiency in CRM & CMS — Convio and WordPress highly preferable; - Experience maintaining and managing organizational social networking accounts (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google +, etc.); - Proficiency in the use of social media monitoring and analytics tools; - Experience with email segmentation and communication strategies, specifically for increasing action rates for fundraising and advocacy; - Experience with redesigning a website Familiarity with HTML and CSS; - Highly organized, attention to detail and adherence to deadlines; - Sense of humor, creative energy, proactive and a great team player; - Strong skills working in teams and across many types of organizations — team-oriented; problem solver; relationship-builder; and strong inter-personal skills; - Ability to multitask in a very fast-paced, often rapidly-changing environment; - Multi-cultural experience, general knowledge of global issues and the United Nations system, and an understanding of the UN Foundation mission, programs, strategy and goals; - Knowledge and prior use of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Microsoft Office. - Ability to work under pressure and handle stress. - Ability to meet regular attendance tardiness policy.
