Email Production Specialist

**Position Summary:** Jackson Family Wines has an immediate opening for a tech and design savvy, self-directed individual to join our growing digital team. The Email Production Specialist is responsible for the hands-on design, coding and deployment of customer-facing dynamic email communications to the JFW marketing database. This includes overseeing list hygiene, segmenting data, email design and testing, and gathering and interpreting campaign analytics. This position is expected to implement industry best practices and provide knowledgeable recommendations about trends, performance, and best practices. **Essential Functions/Duties:** - Under the direction of the DTC Digital Marketing Manager, serves as point of contact for all enterprise consumer and trade mass email campaigns. - Deliver production for all assigned marketing campaigns. - Develop and edit HTML email templates, execute QA test plans, manage the deployment, and analyze the delivery/inboxing of marketing emails. Setup A/B testing, segmentation and dynamic content. - Implement and manage automation including triggered campaign emails and customer journeys • Receive creative assets from marketing and club manager teams but work independently on production aspects. - Work closely with email marketing software provider as point of contact and utilizes all available tools, resources and information to create best-of-breed email campaigns. Manage multiple dynamic content versions. - Work closely with Digital Marketing Manager to ensure on-time deliverables - Communicate status, complications, developments, and next steps with stakeholders - Works with DTC and Brand Marketing to provide current email best practices in regards to messaging, list management, segmenting and delivery. - Works with DTC Managers to ensure brand and legal requirements are met before launch. - Recommends appropriate template usage per campaign, modifies existing templates when necessary and works with Brand and Creative Services on new designs when appropriate. - Under direction of the Digital Marketing Manager, works with internal teams to ensure that promo codes, landing pages, links and inventory are requested and in place. - Creates monthly analysis report for each brand for Digital Marketing Manager to discuss campaign results and provides additional customized reports as required. - Maintains easily accessible current library and historical archives of templates by Brand.

**Essential Skills, Experience, and Education** - Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in related field or equivalent, two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience 2-3+ years hands-on email coding and production experience - 2-3+ years working with enterprise email technology (Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget, BlueHornet, Silverpop, Strongmail, etc.) Fluency in HTML/CSS required - Proficiency in Responsive Design required - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs - Understanding of cross-browser and front-end development issues - Understanding of CAN-SPAM, e-mail regulatory compliance, and deliverability elements - Thorough understanding of email design and delivery issues into various email platforms. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities. - Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance. - Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. - Knowledge of SQL or AMPscript a plus
