- Works with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installation.
- Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.
- Participates in the final check-out of new installations to assure adherence to functional specifications.
- Track the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets and find ways to reduce those losses or high costs through root cause analysis, plan approval, then facilitate implementation.
- Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems.
- Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
- Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.
- Insures that proper safety procedures are specified and documented on all planned jobs.
- The primary role of the Reliability Engineer is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
- Reports to Maintenance Manager.
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a production, manufacturing or plant environment.
- Experience working in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Communication and presentation skills sufficient to communicate thoughts succinctly to management.
- Routine communication with customers and vendors
- Have solid background using PC software applications include the Microsoft office suite of products.
- Be familiar with applicable codes, regulations and standards.
