Responsibilities
* Works with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installation. * Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans. * Participates in the final check-out of new installations to assure adherence to functional specifications. * Track the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets and find ways to reduce those losses or high costs through root cause analysis, plan approval, then facilitate implementation. * Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems. * Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations. * Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. * Insures that proper safety procedures are specified and documented on all planned jobs. * The primary role of the Reliability Engineer is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. * Reports to Maintenance Manager.
Ideal Candidate
* B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. * 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a production, manufacturing or plant environment. * Experience working in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment. * Analytical thinking and problem solving skills. * Communication and presentation skills sufficient to communicate thoughts succinctly to management. * Routine communication with customers and vendors * Have solid background using PC software applications include the Microsoft office suite of products. * Be familiar with applicable codes, regulations and standards.
