Feature Editorial Assistant for 2D

DHX Studios – Vancouver is looking for an Editorial Assistant to join our 2D team, for our exciting upcoming Feature Film! As an Editorial Assistant, you will play a key part in organizing and sifting through production material, prepping dialogue and storyboards, as well as assisting with some animatic editing. The ideal candidate is industry experienced, flexible and a great team-player!

* Assist editorial supervisor and lead editor with day-to-day production needs * Assist with file imports, audio file management and general processing tasks * Manage and maintain editorial project/media files efficiently * Adhere to strict naming and format guidelines as outlined by editorial supervisor * Be aware of scheduling needs, milestones and alert team of any issues that may affect deadlines * Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner * Be a positive and creative force on the team

* Previous experience in a production environment is necessary (experience on an animated series or feature film a definite asset) * Degree or Diploma from a recognized film production school * Understanding of editorial concepts and pipelines is strongly desired * Experience with AVID is required * Ability to adapt to varying production demands and shifting priorities * Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines * Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner * Ability to follow directions and adhere to established procedures * Detail oriented work habits are highly desired * Proactive thinker with creative problem solving skills * Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to work as part of a team * A sharp wit and a great sense of humour!
