Worthington Industries is seeking to hire a Quality Engineer for their Rome, NY facility. The primary duty of this newly created position is to drive improvement. Looking for a candidate that can progress to the Quality Manager position in 3 to 5 years.

* Pilot root cause analysis and corrective action teams * Review and approve raw material application for Cold Rolled Strip processing * Compile quality-related performance statistics on a monthly and quarterly basis * Create and track AIAG PPAP’s

**Skills:** * Advanced computer skills especially in MS Excel and PowerPoint * Experienced in the techniques of lean manufacturing * Self-directed and motivated * Data-driven, analytical thinking * Problem solving mindset * Strong interpersonal communication skills * ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred **Education/Training Required:** * Five years’ experience in quality department of manufacturing environment * Four year Metallurgical / Material Science Engineering degree
