* Collaborate with the Director of Advancement to establish strategy, goals, and objectives for grant based fundraising to meet annual and multi-year team fundraising needs;
* Research local and national grantmakers to find fundraising opportunities for YES Prep;
* Create compelling requests for funds by gathering information from campus and Home Office teams;
* Prepare proposals, including supporting data, budgets, and other necessary information;
* Develop organizational systems to ensure all proposals are submitted on time and with the highest degree of quality;
* Utilize Salesforce to track and manage data pertaining to foundation and corporate donors;
* Build and maintain ongoing relationships with donors in portfolio
* Manage follow-up activities for awarded grants, including acceptance letters and written agreements;
* Provide donors with timely, relevant, and meaningful communication regarding the impact of their gift, including grant reports, thank you calls, visits, and other forms of acknowledgment;
* Manage a calendar for all active grants and proposals to meet all grant requirements
* Engage members of the YES Prep Board of Directors in supporting the full range of activities related to funding requests and stewarding donors;
* Create and maintain up-to-date organizational information to support the Advancement team’s efforts to share the YES Prep story with the external community;
* Collaborate with the Director of Content to create and maintain a collection of prose, stories, data, and other meaningful and relevant knowledge that captures the YES Prep story, to be shared and used by the CEO, senior leaders, the Advancement team, the Communications and Marketing team, Board members, and community volunteers;
* Create and update graphical illustrations about YES Prep’s success to enhance quality and persuasiveness of funding requests and donor reports;
* Collaborate with and support other members of the Advancement team toward achieving the overall team goals, including selected support for YES Prep’s flagship events as needed;
* Additional duties as assigned.
