Summary
The Human Resources Manager manages daily human resource functions, including compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, training and supervision.
Responsibilities
Assures staffing is sufficient to maintain quality of service delivery and meet facility standards and regulatory requirements. Documentation reflects professional standards. Provides oversight of HR Generalist to ensure personnel records, personnel confidential/medical files, I9 records, and documentation of training are maintained to required standards. Assures thorough and timely staff development processes including assessment of competency, performance feedback. Consults with managers and supervisors to assist with recruitment activities, FTE management, performance feedback, corrective action, and termination processes. Consults with HR Director on employee relations matters. Posts open positions, screens applicants, distributes applications to Hiring Managers, and conducts interviews with applicants. Performs internal investigations, including response to Employee Grievances and Corporate Compliance calls. Assures readiness for inspections and audits performed by regulatory agencies involved in oversight of organizational functions. Performs a variety of clerical functions in Human Resources, including making employment offers, processing criminal background checks, entering employee data in HRIS system, and tracking Leaves of Absence and Modified Duty Assignments. Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:** Must be proficient with computer, Microsoft WORD, Excel, and HRIS software. Excellent communication skills, ability to ask questions and gain information from applicants and other business associates. Ability to convey employee behavior and status verbally and in writing. Professional verbal and written skills. Able to verbally adapt spoken communication to meet needs of employee. Maintains professional therapeutic relationships with internal and external customers. Able to maintain patient confidentiality. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks under deadlines and with short notice. **Education/Training:** Prefer Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university or related experience. **Experience:** Prefer five years work experience in Human Resources. **Physical/General:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
