Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator supports human resource related duties on a professional level; works closely with the HR Director and HR Managers to serve employee needs through timely and accurate communication and follow up; and ensures that all employee files are properly maintained in accordance with Company and legal standards.
Responsibilities
* Oversees recording and maintenance of employee information including personal data; compensation, benefits, and tax data; offers of employment and non-compete agreements; attendance; performance reviews or evaluations; and disciplinary actions, including terminations. * Coordinates and leads New Hire Orientation and Onboarding processes for corporate employees, including new employee paperwork, I-9 administration, orientation set-up and facilitation, and 30/60/90 day check-ins. * Serves as key point of contact for all corporate departments in coordinating and tracking temporary staffing needs. * Manages random drug screen process for all corporate employees. * Completes routine Personnel Action Forms (PAF) for HR Managers as needed; tracks and maintains repository of active and completed PAFs for corporate employees. * Generates corporate offer letters and non-compete agreements as needed for both new employees and internal promotions or transfers. * Collaborates with HR Managers and department Administrative Assistants to ensure accurate tracking of candidate and employee movement (i.e. new hires, transfers, and promotions). * Maintains repository of corporate job descriptions and supports HR Managers as needed in management of new job description creation process. * Prepares and maintains standard and ad hoc reporting and metrics for management use as needed (i.e., new hire reports, staffing reports, headcount reports, etc.). * Acts as program manager for corporate summer internship program, planning, coordinating, and executing all program activities. * In partnership with Office Services department, coordinates Expectant Mother Program maintaining record of parking spaces and Mother’s Room access. * Supports HR Managers in coordination of corporate learning and development sessions as needed, including preparation of materials, calendar invites, and room set-up. * Performs general administrative duties consistent with the Human Resources function, to include building and maintaining corporate employee files, recording and auditing corporate HR data, and working in partnership with the department Administrative Assistant and/or other Coordinators on special projects as needed. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Ideal Candidate
**Preferred Qualifications** * Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Human Resources department. * Functional working knowledge of employment law and/or Human Resource competencies. * PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification. **Minimum Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, General Business, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, and/or Communication); or minimum of 1 year of demonstrated Human Resource experience relevant to the job responsibilities. **Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** * Ability to work with confidential Human Resources information and employee data while projecting a professional image. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint. * Strong prioritization, attention to detail, effective multi-tasking, verbal/written communication and organizational skills. * Ability to problem solve and persevere in order to meet deadlines and goals. * Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers and provide proper follow up. * Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision in a timely fashion. * Ability to collaborate effectively within a matrix organization.
