Summary
The TC HR team is looking for a rock star Payroll Specialist. This person will be responsible for all activities related to processing multi-state, semi-monthly payroll for Trunk Club’s 1,000+ employees. This is an opportunity to work with a small, collaborative team at a quickly growing company.
Responsibilities
* Process semi-monthly payrolls which include verifying hours, calculating overtime & retro pay; processing benefit deductions; bonus payouts; direct deposit or paycard set-up. * Process stop payments and reissues of lost payroll checks/pay cards and direct deposit reversals; investigate and resolve all payroll discrepancies in a timely and accurate fashion * Manage vendor relationships between third party payroll provider and escalates payroll issues to appropriate parties when necessary. * Oversee quarterly/year-end reconciliation and reporting for all regions. Responds to any queries from third party provider and/or tax agencies. * Ensure new jurisdictions are established in a timely manner. * Oversee time tracking and absence processes in Replicon and Namely; update documentation and train employees as needed. * Calculate and create manual checks as needed and submits for approval * Develop process improvements focused on increasing efficiency, communication, and effective customer service. Implements quality control measures to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Assist accounting team with all month end reporting and reconciliation * Maintain and proactively update payroll and benefits procedures and documentation on HR intranet page. * Responds to employee requests and answers questions. * Provide assistance with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* 1 - 3 years of administrative experience or 1 year of Payroll/Human Resources Experience * Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel required. * Good math and logic aptitude while also having the ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem. * Excellent communication, grammar, spelling and proofreading skills as well as following up effectively with all levels within the organization. * Able to prioritize and organize workload, multi-task, adapt quickly to change and deliver under the pressure of deadlines while also maintaining a high level of confidentiality. * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
