Summary
The Comp & Benefits Manager sits within the People Operations team and will contribute to the development of plan design and take a lead role to enable the successful delivery of the company's Total Rewards (Benefits and Compensation) programs and policies in support of our overall rewards strategy. You will have the opportunity to manage the day-to-day benefits and compensation needs of the company.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefit programs, policies and guidelines to ensure they are market competitive, cost effective, aligned with company goals and are in compliance with company policies. * Support the compensation strategy and help with the design, implementation and communication of all compensation and benefits plans and policies. * Significant contribution to the annual salary planning/merit increases process, salary structures and equity grants to ensure alignment with company's goals, initiatives and budget guidelines. * Responsible for company participation in market data initiatives for both compensation and benefits, evaluating and preparing competitive benchmark data analysis as required. * Oversee the administration and analysis of competitive, cost-effective benefit program for Thumbtack including Group Health, Dental, Vision, Group Life, AD&D, LTD, STD, FSA and COBRA. * Partner with People Operations and Payroll to ensure that all benefit events (new hire, life status and annual enrollment) are systematically captured and recorded for all active employees and are in accordance with our plan requirements. * Be the day-to-day contact to troubleshoot employees' benefits administration queries. * Support wider team with implementations of People Operations programs, projects and initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 5 years of work experience, with 3-5 years specifically in the Comp & Benefits space. * Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field. * Strong problem solving skills (critical, strategic and evaluative thinking) with an extremely high attention to detail. * Ability to work effectively in a high volume, deadline driven, fast-paced environment. * Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. * Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. * Ability to manage confidential data with unquestioned integrity. * Strong analytical skills, including intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
