Our team is looking for a Director of Global Payroll & Benefits. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional seeking a fast paced, dynamic and high energy work environment. The Director GP&B will be responsible for all financial and compliance-related areas of Human Resources, including global payroll and benefits administration. The Director GP&B will also work with the VP Talent to develop and administer appropriate human resources policies. This role will initially have two direct reports: the Global Payroll Manager and the HR & Benefits Specialist.
- Oversee global payroll operations and benefits administration, including timely and accurate recording of changes resulting from new hires, terminations, and periodic employee-requested changes to payroll tax withholding or elective benefits changes
- Working with a third-party administrator, ensure continuing compliance with DOL and ERISA regulations for the Company’s 401(k) and other benefit plans
- Assist other finance staff with payroll- and benefits-related reconciliations and analyses
- Work with the Lead of Total Rewards on annual benefit plan updates and open enrollment
- Identify, implement and maintain the Company’s core HR systems to ensure accuracy and completeness for periodic management reporting
- Oversee periodic, quarterly, and annual compliance reporting such as Form 5500s, EEO-1, etc.
- Accomplish special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.
- Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and cross-border legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; Master’s degree in field or MBA a plus
- At least fifteen years’ experience in operational finance and human resource roles of increasing responsibility
- Proficient in systems used to support payroll and related human resource operations such as ADP Workforce Now
- Experience with international human resources and payroll concepts and processes
- Experience with employment law and practices in the U.S. but also ideally the UK, Canada and Australia
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, including meeting deadlines
