Summary
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Human Resources Manager who will be responsible for front-line human resources leadership for three of our manufacturing plants (Wilmington, MA, Pedricktown and Clifton, NJ). This position will be a strategic business partner providing a full spectrum of human resources services to support operations and business initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Lead human resources activities including talent acquisition, compensation management, training and benefits. * Manage day-to-day employee relations activities. * Establish positive working environments. * Partner with plant management on strategic business, organizational and performance issues. * Manage the talent management process for the site including; performance and career management, workforce and succession planning and employee development. * Administer human resources policies and procedures; investigate, provide counsel and advice to employees and managers on polices/practices/procedures. * Communicate and implement corporate human resources initiatives; provide input from the plant perspective during new program development. * Recommend and implement process improvements. * Serve on human resources project teams as required.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. * Willingness to travel, as required, approximately 20%, to the Pedricktown and Clifton, NJ locations. * A minimum of six (6) years of Human Resources experience, in a manufacturing environment. * Knowledge or experience in all aspects of Human Resources including employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, talent development, talent acquisition, etc. * Experience in a union environment and/or labor relations training/background preferred. * Experience partnering/consulting with all levels of the organization including coaching, influencing and making sound judgment calls. * Solid negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills. * Strong leadership skills especially in developing and implementing ethics, harassment and other policies as required. * Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as facilitation experience. * Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high energy, team oriented environment. * Must demonstrate enthusiasm, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, commitment and follow-through while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines. * Potential for upwards progression. * Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office applications, HRIS). * Strong communication (written/verbal/listening) and presentation skills. * Strong organizational and planning skills. * Must be able to build relationships and work in a collaborative/matrix driven environment.
