Summary
Serves as a member of the payroll team, performs a range of moderately complex assignments, developing the ability to do more complex work, and analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.
Responsibilities
* Coordinates processing of regular and off-cycle payrolls for all Tesoro employees. * Prepares and reconciles the stock option, relocation and rewards and recognition reporting requirements. * Assists with testing to ensure payroll system is configured based on regulatory requirements and validates integrity of the system. * Coordinates processing and payment of all types of garnishments for all Tesoro Companies. * Reconciles and reports garnishment and voluntary deduction to third party vendors. * Assists with balancing and preparing annual W-2 forms and other year-end reporting * Collaborates with others on projects to ensure compliance and efficiency in payroll processing. * Maintains a desk references as a resource available to the Company. * Evaluates current systems, and recommends and develops operating efficiency improvements.
Ideal Candidate
**Education and Experience:** * Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. * Two or more years of relevant work experience, preferably payroll or accounting systems experience. * SAP payroll experience is preferred. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** * Self-starter and quick learner * Detail oriented and excellent organizational and analytical skills * Ability to work independently * Ability to work well on large and small cross-functional teams * Comfortable with changing environment and responsibilities * Team player * Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite
