Corporate Payroll and AP Manager

Precision Castparts Corp. is a worldwide, diversified manufacturer of complex metal components and products. It serves the aerospace, power, and general industrial markets. PCC is the market leader in manufacturing large, complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, forged components, aerostructures and highly engineered, critical fasteners for aerospace applications.

This position is responsible for hands-on management of Corporate Payroll and Accounts Payable. The successful candidate will be dedicated, trustworthy, detail oriented and deadline driven with exceptional communication skills. They must be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. This is a job for someone willing to take full ownership of their workload and interact with all levels of employees throughout the Corporate office.

* Direct management and responsibility for day-to-day Payroll and Accounts Payable processes including but not limited to: * Ensuring consistent and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders into accounting system for payment including PO matching, vouching and coding * Maintaining solid vendor and PCC department relationships * Consistent, accurate and timely processing of Corporate payroll * Reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations * Review and validate of the quarterly 401(k) contribution and match details from a third-party vendor to payroll for accuracy and completeness in payroll * Fiscal and calendar year-end processing of payroll, W-2 and other tax forms, 1099’s, and other government required documentation * Prepare and maintain quarterly and annual bonus calculations using parameters established by senior management * Train, coach, manage, and develop the performance of team members * Coordinate with the Corporate Accounting General Ledger team to ensure timely and effective support for the month, quarter, and year-end close processes * Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with US GAAP and Corporate policy * Responsible for the Payroll and Accounts Payable SOX controls process including ownership of narratives, test step validation and development as needed, and ensuring controls meet companywide benchmarks * Coordinate with both external and internal auditors to complete financial and SOX audits * Special projects and other duties as needed

* Must be able to process sensitive information in the strictest confidence * Solid knowledge and understanding of accounting and application of financial principles (US GAAP), payroll regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley * Strong attention to detail; accuracy of work is critical * A proactive, hands-on problem solver with solid analytical and process improvement skills * Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills including ability to meet communicated deadlines and act as primary owner of individual projects, analyses and processes * High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables and functions) * Experience with Payroll and AP software * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Must be capable of leading a team and creating a positive work environment * Ability to work in partnership with all levels of employees up to and including senior management, and various worldwide PCC locations * Demonstrated ability to improve and streamline business processes **Experience:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required * Minimum 8 years of accounting / finance experience * Minimum 5 years of solid payroll experience and / or supervision for multi-state payroll processing and benefits administration * Experience in public accounting or accounting role within a public company strongly desired
