Summary
The Head of People is a high-stakes position that partners with senior leadership to develop the strategic direction of human resources and ensures all initiatives are aligned with ServiceTitan’s mission and business goals. This role has overall responsibility for leading and managing employee communications, performance management, organizational and management development, employee relations, talent acquisition, policy development, legal compliance, compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities
* Meeting the complex demands of rapid growth while maintaining high talent, engagement, and performance and culture standards. * Evaluate the HR structure, goals and performance measures for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the function; drive operational HR excellence through data analysis and metrics and by guiding or leading technology-based solutions. * Monitor and interpret trends and metrics around employee satisfaction, attrition and turnover, etc., and establish recommendations for improvements or enhancements based on data analysis. * Create, implement and measure programs to support career development, performance criteria and measurement, organizational design, organizational development, succession planning, and talent reviews. * Establish the credibility and strength of the HR department with management and staff throughout the organization; advise management on the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and procedures for hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews and investigations. * Evolving the existing processes to bring a more scalable, compliant and simple set of processes and tools for both immediate and ongoing growth needs of the company. * Building, leading and organizing an HR team that is closely aligned to the businesses and consistently delivers high value HR services, systems and results. * Effectively listen and solve people issues for all staff with care; ability to make difficult or unpopular decisions ethically, rationally and calmly. * Develop a comprehensive, integrated talent strategy for the entire organization, implementing strategies to attract top talent and retain key high performers. * Drive and influence talent assessment and performance management throughout the organization with the goal of achieving a culture of high performance. * Continually assess the competitiveness and effectiveness of all HR programs and practices against relevant comparables. Conduct research on varying HR topics to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices.
Ideal Candidate
* Leadership experience with a progressive management team from start-up and mid-size organizations. * Experience leading, inspiring, coaching, and building world-class HR teams. * Strong functional HR knowledge, coupled with business acumen, personal credibility, and outstanding leadership skills. * Prior experience scaling an HR organization with systems and processes. * Prior experiencing implementing scalable solutions in a hands-on, highly collaborative growth environment. * Successful track record in managing and motivating a staff. * Superior interpersonal, leadership, verbal/written communication and presentation skills. * Experience evaluating and implementing HR-related programs and policies. * Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using sound judgment that is consistent with business standards, practices, policies, procedures and regulations. * Familiarity with a variety of Training "best practice" concepts, procedures and their implementation. * Aptitude for being organized and for delivering results in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to think strategically and execute tactically. * Undergraduate degree is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
