Reingold, a full-service marketing and communications firm in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia, offers an outstanding opportunity for a creative and resourceful user experience (UX) designer/information architect. Both entry and midlevel positions are available.

This is a full-time position located in our Alexandria office. The UX designer/information architect is part of a team of Web design, development, and search engine optimization professionals. The position will be integral to meeting user needs and achieving business goals for a variety of clients.

This role requires a strong background in either user-centered design or information architecture and a willingness to develop all the skills required to deliver outstanding experiences to users that drive results. Our work demands a self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running.

Here’s what you will do:

• Analyze the client’s fundamental goals and needs through a variety of methods.
• Work to understand the audience’s needs, tasks, and goals, and translate them into easily discoverable elements.
• Provide recommendations for information architecture, wireframes, and content strategy.
• Prepare recommendations for improvement based on user testing and/or heuristic evaluations.
• Solve problems by addressing what causes an issue before crafting a solution.

• Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and effective decision-making
• Motivation and self-direction, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently, and to manage complex and simultaneous projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly convey information to upper management and clients
